Heartsaver Skills Session (Atlanta)

Service Description

Register for your in-person, skills session to complete the last step in your hybrid AHA Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED Online training (https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartsaver-first-aid-cpr-aed-online). Did You Know? The American Heart Association (AHA) offers hybrid CPR training options to provide flexibility to individuals with limited availability for in-person training. These options allow students to purchase and complete an online training course on the AHA website that contains the same videos and quizzes that students would see during an in-person class from a location that is most convenient to the student. Additionally, the course videos can be paused and stopped to allow breaks as frequently as needed, which is impossible in traditional, in-person courses. After completing the online AHA course, students must print or save a digital copy of their certificate of completion and are required provide it to their instructor for verification before attending their skills session. Upon verification of online training, the student is eligible to meet with the instructor in-person to complete the last required step- an in-person, hands on, skills session. What to Expect: You will meet with our instructor in a group setting to practice hands-on CPR skills using Heartsaver protocols to complete the AHA skills session. Your instructor will first demonstrate the skills to all students. Then, the instructor will allow students to practice the skills and offer corrective feedback on the spot (if needed) to evaluate the students ability to perform effective, high-quality CPR. After successfully demonstrating the skills, students will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED certification. All AHA certifications are valid for two years and accessible and verifiable through the AHA eCards website after students claim their cards.
